When you add new contacts to Raklet, you can now decide whether each one receives the welcome email, instead of it always being sent or never sent. The choice is available both when you add a single contact and when you import contacts in bulk.
Adding a single contact
When you create a contact from the Admin Panel, you will see an option to send the welcome email to that contact. Leave it on to notify the person right away, or turn it off if you are adding the record quietly and do not want to email them yet.
Importing contacts in bulk
During a contact import, you can choose whether the welcome email goes out to everyone in that import. This lets you load a large list without flooding people's inboxes, or welcome a fresh batch of members all at once when that is what you want.
Why this matters
Some contacts should hear from you the moment they are added, and some are being migrated in from another system and should not get a surprise email. Putting the decision in your hands, per contact and per import, keeps your onboarding intentional.
