How to Use the Membership Section on a Contact Profile?

How the Membership section on a contact profile works: subscriptions, balances, scheduled payments, invoices, payments and reminders grouped in one place, and the actions you can take from each subscription card.

Note: The layout described in this article is new. It is currently optional and has to be turned on in your account settings, as described in the next section. It will soon become the default Membership section for all Raklet accounts.

The Membership section on a contact profile brings everything related to a member's payments into one place. Subscriptions, scheduled payments, payments, invoices and reminders are grouped under the subscription they belong to, so you can see a member's full payment picture without switching between tabs.

This article explains how to turn the layout on, what you will see, and how group memberships and standalone payments are handled.

How to Turn On the New Membership Layout

This section applies only while the layout is optional. Once it becomes the default for all accounts, this step is no longer needed.

Go to Admin Panel > Membership Settings > General, turn on the new membership layout option, and click Save. The layout will then appear whenever you open the Membership section of any contact.

We recommend switching it on early and getting familiar with it before it becomes the default.

Membership Section

When you open a contact's Membership section, each of their subscriptions is shown as its own card. Click Expand all to see the full details of every subscription.

For each subscription you can see:

  • Subscription details: the membership plan, its status (active, cancelled and so on), whether it is a group membership, the amount, and any discount applied.

  • Balance: total invoiced, total paid, and the remaining balance. If a member has paid more than expected, you will see an In credit label showing the positive balance on their account.

  • Scheduled payments: whether the subscription has an upcoming scheduled payment, which you can edit directly from here.

  • Invoices and payments: all invoices linked to that subscription, along with the payments connected to each invoice.

  • Reminders: any payment reminders sent for that subscription.

Actions You Can Take

From the subscription card you can do the following without leaving the contact's profile:

  • View the card on file.

  • Add a sub-member to the subscription.

  • Update the subscription.

  • Cancel the subscription.

Group and Family Memberships

For group memberships, sub-members (for example, a child included in a parent's plan) are shown as connected to the parent's subscription, so you can see the whole household in one place.

If a sub-member has their own paid add-on, such as an additional child fee, that invoice and payment will also appear on their own profile.

Payments Not Linked to a Subscription

Some charges, such as a registration fee, are not linked to a specific subscription. These still appear in the Membership section, but as standalone items rather than under a subscription card.

Things to Know

  • The layout only changes how the Membership section is displayed. No subscriptions, invoices, payments or reminders are changed or removed.

  • The setting applies to your whole account, so every admin sees the same layout once it is enabled.

  • A subscription's status is still calculated from the balance of its invoices, exactly as before.

  • If something looks missing or unexpected in the Membership section, contact us at [email protected] with the member profile link and the subscription ID so we can check it.
