Understanding Email Footers

In this article, you'll learn about the required and recommended content for your email footer.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The email footer is a crucial section located at the bottom of an email. It typically contains important details about you, the sender, along with links for recipients to unsubscribe or update their preferences. All our email templates come with a default footer that includes the necessary information to keep your emails compliant and professional.

Required Footer Content

To comply with anti-spam regulations and our Terms of Service, every email must include specific information in the footer. To make this process easier, our email templates automatically include the following required elements:

  • Organization Name
Your email footer must display the name of your organization to ensure transparency and compliance with email marketing laws.

  • Physical Address
Your email footer must include a valid physical mailing address to receive correspondence. This address cannot be a website or an email address. If you work remotely and prefer not to use your home address, consider using a post office box.

  • Permalink URL
The permalink URL redirects recipients to access the member's portal, allowing them to engage with your platform more conveniently.

  • Unsubscribe Link
The unsubscribe link allows recipients to opt out of receiving further emails. This helps maintain a clean and engaged audience while ensuring compliance with email marketing laws.

Updating Required Footer Information

The organization name, physical address, and permalink URL can be updated via the Admin Panel under the Settings page.

Customizing Your Email Footer

Your email footer should reflect your brand identity. You can customize its layout, colors, and text using our editing tools.
