If you are an individual or a sole trader, you can still create accounts on Stripe and enjoy your Raklet experience.

Updated over a week ago

We use Stripe as our primary payment gateway and you can have more information about them here. Stripe is designed to handle payments for a wide range of activities and enterprises, including individuals. When you create your account, you should choose Individual/Sole Proprietorship as your business type.

To verify your identification, Stripe usually asks for the following documents.

  • One that acts as a form of identification

  • One that acts as proof of residence

You can take a look at this article on Stripe for more information about the documentation.

If you want to create an account on Raklet while not registered as a company, the same process will apply. All of the account's details are ultimately within your control. All you have to do is upload your state ID, driver's license, or passport to approve your account. You can verify your legal entity here.

Why do we need this information?

Considering our major concern is the safety of our users, we must verify your identification before you begin collecting donations, sending emails, or storing member information.

If you only have one document to upload, you can upload the same document to both sections.
