In order to test reminders, you can simply create new members and setup subscription dates accordingly. 

Let's suppose that your email address is [email protected] and you want to test the process with your own email address.

Gmail will send all the emails to [email protected].

Then setup your emails and make sure it's selected under automated renewals.
