When members buy a paid event ticket, the billing details at checkout are now pre-filled from their member profile. This makes checkout faster and keeps invoices accurate, with no extra setup needed from your organization.
Choosing the billing address
At checkout, the billing section comes pre-filled from the member's profile and includes a postal code field. If the profile has more than one address, the member can pick which one to use: home, work, or billing. Switching the selection updates the billing fields right away.
Updating the address at checkout
Members can edit the pre-filled address before paying. When they do, they have two options:
Save to profile: the corrected address is written back to the member profile and will be used as the default next time.
Use for this invoice only: the address appears on this invoice, and the profile stays exactly as it was. This is handy when a member needs a different billing address just once.
What this means for your organization
The billing details the member confirms at checkout are the ones that appear on the invoice and payment records, so your event invoices carry complete, up-to-date addresses. There is nothing to configure: the pre-fill works automatically on every paid event checkout.
Things to Know
The "use for this invoice only" option never changes the member's profile.
An address is saved back to the profile only when it is complete, with a street, city, and country. A partial address stays on the invoice only, so profiles are never filled with incomplete data.
For company members, the billing company name is pre-filled from the membership, so it does not need to be typed in again.
