How to Create Recurring Events on Raklet?

If your community runs the same event on a regular schedule, weekly classes, monthly meetups, or any other repeating session, you can create a single recurring event in Raklet instead of setting up each one manually.

Create a Recurring Event

  1. Go to the Events section in your Administrator Panel and click +Add Event at the upper right corner.

  2. (Optional) Choose a tag or category for the event.

  3. Add the event name and description.

  4. Enable Recurring Event.

Set the Date and Recurrence Pattern

Important: The start and end times you set here are the start and end times of the first event in the series. The recurrence pattern then repeats that schedule for every following occurrence.

  1. Set the start date and time of the first event (for example, tomorrow from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).

  2. Choose the recurrence pattern. Raklet supports:

    • Daily

    • Weekly (with day-of-week selection — e.g., every Friday)

    • Monthly

    • Custom intervals (e.g., every 2 weeks)

  3. Set when the series should end. You can choose to:

    • End on a specific date (e.g., the end of August), or

    • End after a specific number of occurrences (e.g., after 10 sessions).

  4. Choose the location: online or a physical venue.

  5. Click Save.

Add Ticket Types and Capacity

Once the event is saved, add ticket types the same way you do for any other event.

  1. Click on the ticket section and add a free, paid, or donation ticket.

  2. When you set up the ticket, you'll be asked whether it should apply to:

    • All events in the series, or

    • Only one event in the series.

This gives you flexibility to charge a flat price across the whole series, or to use different ticket types for specific occurrences; for example, special pricing on a one-off session.

Capacity is set per occurrence. If you set a capacity of 20 seats, that limit applies to each occurrence individually; for example, 20 seats every Friday, not 20 seats total across the series.

Publish the Event

Once your ticket types are set, publish the event to make it visible to members.

On the member side, the recurring event appears in the events list and in the calendar view. Each occurrence shows up as its own clickable event, for example, if you set the event to repeat every Friday, members will see a separate event on each Friday and can click into the one they want to attend.

Members register for one occurrence at a time. If a member wants to attend multiple sessions in the series, they'll need to register for each one individually.

Editing a Recurring Event After Publishing

When you edit a recurring event after it's been published, Raklet will ask how you want the change to be applied:

  • This event only: applies the change to the single occurrence you're editing.

  • This and following events: applies the change to the current occurrence and every occurrence after it (leaves earlier occurrences untouched).

  • All events: applies the change to every occurrence in the series.

This makes it easy to handle one-off changes (like a venue swap for a single date) without disrupting the rest of the series.
