Raklet Vimeo Integration

You can now track how your members interact with Vimeo videos embedded on your platform. Every time someone watches a video, Raklet automatically creates an action log entry so you can see who watched what and when.

Updated over a week ago

What gets tracked?

For Vimeo videos embedded in your posts/pages, Raklet can log:

  • Video played – when a member begins watching the video

  • Video paused – when they pause the video (if supported by the player in their browser/device)

  • Video ended – when they watch the video until the end

Each log entry includes:

  • Member name (who watched the video)

  • Action type (e.g. VideoPlayed, VideoEnded)

  • Video title

  • Timestamp (date & time of the action)

πŸ’‘ This helps you understand which videos are actually being watched, and by whom.

Requirements

To see Vimeo video interactions in your action logs, you’ll need:

  1. A Vimeo video (public or unlisted, but embeddable).

  2. The video must be embedded in a Raklet post/page using its Vimeo URL or embed code.

  3. Your account must have access to the Action Logs / Reports section.

No additional code or manual setup is required once Vimeo tracking is enabled on your account.

Typical use cases:

  • See which members watched your onboarding / training videos

  • Track engagement with webinar recordings or course content

  • Identify popular videos based on the number of start/end events

Where to see Vimeo video actions

  1. Go to your Admin Panel.

  2. Navigate to Reports β†’ Action Logs (or Action Logs in your menu).

  3. Use the filters to narrow down the results:

    • Filter by Action type (e.g. VideoStarted, VideoEnded).

    • Filter by Date range to focus on a specific campaign or period.

The description always includes the video title and the post ID, so you know exactly which content they interacted with.

Limitations & notes

  • Vimeo tracking only works for Vimeo-embedded videos on your Raklet pages/posts (not for YouTube or other players unless specifically integrated).

  • If a member leaves the page without interacting with the player, no video action is logged.

  • In some browsers/devices, pause events may not always be captured consistently; start/end events are the most reliable indicators of viewing activity.

FAQ

Do I need to change my existing Vimeo embeds?
No. As long as the video is embedded through a standard Vimeo URL or embed code on your Raklet post/page, tracking will work automatically once the feature is enabled.

Can I export these logs?
Yes. You can export your Action Logs as usual, and Vimeo video events will be included like any other action.

Can members see these logs?
No. Action logs are only visible to admins with access to the Reports / Action Logs section.
